My name is Lauren Cislowski and I am naturally curious about the world around me. I believe that the human experience should be included when designing for users. For me, UX is an extension of my curiosities. I enjoy the opportunity to speak to people from different backgrounds and perspectives. From that I can understand how these individual’s interact with their world and gain satisfaction from seeing how this research has influenced the final design.
I embrace all aspects of the design process and relish in the messiness that it creates. I believe that as a designer you need to leave your assumptions at the door and let your research and findings guide the remainder of your process.
In my free time I like to sit down and binge Netflix documentaries, learning about current events, scandals and historical figures.
I am a fan of animated movies and appreciate the process and artistry that goes into creating these movies.
When I am not binging Netflix, I spend my free time watching the Classic British Sci-fi series Doctor Who.
I enjoy contemporary musical theatre and attempt to see a live musical every year.
I am dedicated in all that I do. I believe you can do almost anything with hard work and dedication to your goals.
It’s important to me to have integrity in all aspects of my life and I endeavour to reflect that in my work and my interactions with others.
As humans, it’s important to always be looking to improve oneself. I am always looking for ways to challenge myself and my thinking in order to broaden my mind.
Creativity and design go hand in hand however, it is important to also have a creative outlet to be able to relax at the end of the day. I have recently started the hobby of Diamond Art and am loving it as my creative outlet.
